One week left before I venture off to Southeast Asia for 7 months and after 3 repacks, reshuffling and decanting, removing and reducing I have finally packed my backpack!!

I am so happy

I’m a girl so naturally I have a lot of items and 7 months is not a short space of time. The first time I packed my backpack my housemate pointed out the unnecessary  items that I could buy in Asia so those were removed. I would definitely get a friend/family/partner to check and scrutinise everything you are taking. Harsh but it works when you want to be travelling light. I repacked but it was still quite heavy so I decided not to take my Ipad and limiting myself to one travel adaptor and reducing my toiletries. Most of the things you will be able to find out in Asia so don’t worry too much.

• Backpack – Mine is a Mountain Warehouse Carrion 65L
  • Tip: When you go and buy a backpack, make sure you get the right size for your height (ask the sales assistant for advice). Look for one that is made of semi-waterproof material and has a rain cover to protect your belongings when it rains. Get one that has lots of compartments so you can store specific things in certain areas so you can retrieve it easily.
