In reply to Serena. French could be understood in Cambodia and Vietnam. Thailand might be a bit problem especially in rural areas. Most Asians understood English. The only main worry is China but heard both of you are learning Mandarin.

Glad you like it Tommy. Insurance wise – we have gone for Insure and Go Backpackers bronze and paid extra to have zero excess and valuables extension.

I think we should….maybe there is a language app I could download to help me with the basics XD

Hey guys, its nice reading your blog, especially that tid bit about the debit card as I am going to travel soon too. Thanks for the updates and sharing. Not really checked but I thought I ask, did you guys get insurance yet then as you will be travelling abroad for such a long time. That is always the first thing you should consider for a holiday abroad, that and visas.

As you are going to be in Asia mostly, did you bother to check up on learning some basic words in case of emergencies? Its all nice to be prepared just in case!
